Just a quick note to thank you for all the time and effort you put into making the most recent Moose excursion a great success. I personally had a great time and look forward to joining you on future trips. Everyone was fun and friendly, the hockey was enjoyable and the side trips entertaining. I believe my wife may even have caught the bug and talked of joining us on future trips. I know that all the elements that go into making this type of venture a success don’t just happen and I know you have some help from long time Moose, but the fact is that you are the driving force behind these events and for that I would like to thank you and let you know how much your efforts are appreciated. You have a way of making everyone feel welcome and comfortable, as well you consistently handle all situations thrown at you, good or bad with poise and grace. Thanks again Mark for a great trip.

The 2014 Canadian Moose trip to Akureyri Iceland in October had a single team play four games with locals, including a game against many of the Icelandic Women’s National Team! All of the games were hotly contested! Tours to Lake Myvatn, Godafoss (familiar to Game of Thrones fans) and up the coast to near the Arctic Circle highlighted the trip. The excursion to Blue Lagoon outside of Reykjavik was also something appreciated by all team members!
Iceland is one of the most beautiful places in the world! The hospitality was amazing, and the players thoroughly enjoyed spending a couple of hours with a group of local high school kids talking about Canada and about Iceland.
Our final night in Reykjavik was closed out with a team dinner at Tapas, a restaurant that served a seven course meal that participants on prior Moose trips to Iceland will remember! As usual, we take a team photo of all participants, this time at the Viking Ship memorial in the harbour.
We’ve been invited back to Iceland in May 2016 and expect to plan another tour, possibly to Ireland and/or Scotland during 2015.
